THE EARTH SAVING WONDERS OF
THE HEMP CROP
Water Savings
To produce 1 Kg of dry Hemp Fiber requires approximately 100 Gallons of Water VS the 2,500 Gallons required to produce 1 Kg of Cotton Fiber.
CO2 Absorption
Hemp is the fastestest carbon sink on the planet, absorbing over 8 tons of CO2 per acre VS the 2.5 tons per acre of mature forest
Oxygen Production
One acre of industrial Hemp will produce as much oxygen as 25 acres of mature trees
Natural Pest Repellant
The large amount of Terpenes in Hemp naturally repels many insects. SO little to no pesticides are required to grow it, making it safe for pollinators like honey bees! Cotton uses 16% of the World’s pesticides, killing bees as it grows.
Soil Remediation
The root system of the Hemp plant is unaffected by heavy metals and toxins in the soil. Once absorbed, these toxins remain sequestered in the plant, cleaning the soil for future crops to be planted.
Fast Growing
Industrial Hemp can be harvested in as little as 100 days, and since it grows in many different climates and weather conditions, it can be planted again and again.
Durable
Hemp fiber is one of the strongest fibers on Earth. Hemp also resists mold and damage from UV light, making it less likely to degrade than other natural fibers.
Antibacterial & Antimicrobial
The Hemp plant is naturally resistant to bacterial growth. Products made from Hemp have been known to kill some bacterial infections on contact.
Biodegradeable
Hemp based products will biodegrade much faster than petroleum based plastics that take hundreds of years. Many Hemp products are even compostable!
